The Centre for Biomedical Image Analysis provides services in the area of processing and analysis of multidimensional images acquired using various imaging techniques. The primary focus is cell imaging (especially cell segmentation and cell tracking). We also run confocal spinning disk systems optimized for cell imaging.

Expertise and support provided to users

We provide help with multidimensional image analysis ranging from image enhancement, image restoration, image registration up to image segmentaion, object measurements, object tracking, object classification and statistical evaluation. We also help in experiment design so that the acquired image quality ensures reliable conlcusions from image analysis. In addition, we provide confocal spinning disk systems for cell imaging experiments including help with image acquisition.

Imaging technologies available

  • Spinning Disc Confocal Microscopy (SDCM)
  • Other

Equipment available (technical specification)

Servers for high-performance image analysis and big data storage, Olympus IX83/CSU-W1 spinning disk confocal microscope, Zeiss Axiovert 200M/CSU-10 spinning disk confocal microscope.
