Here are some great opportunities from around the Euro-BioImaging community that we wanted to share with you:

  • Training courses:

August 18th-20th, 2021: Turku PET Centre is organising a three-day intensive course "Principles And Applications of Neuroimaging Data Analysis”, which will be held in Turku in August 18th - 20th 2021. It will give excellent hands-on expertise for working with common neuroimaging modalities (PET and structural and functional MRI). The course is open to anyone interested in neuroimaging and will be free of charge. We have a wonderful list of speakers and will also stream the lectures on Zoom.   • Meetings and Conferences:

June 15-17: The Latin America-Europe Symposium on Research Infrastructures, organised by RI-VIS and EU-LAC ResInfra, will bring together delegates from Latin American and European research infrastructures (RIs), science policy organisations and research institutions to discuss opportunities and challenges for RI cooperations between Latin America and Europe. It will take place as a virtual meeting. Free registration to the symposium is here.

June 18th: a satellite event organised by Euro-BioImaging & Latin-American BioImaging will take place from 15:00-17:30 CEST for an exchange of experiences amongst our communities. Please join us!

June 17: Euro-BioImaging User Forum: “Understanding and Fighting Cancer”

Euro-BioImaging is organizing an online User Forum on “Understanding and Fighting Cancer”. The event takes place on June 17, 2021 from 14:00-17:00 CEST. It will highlight the importance of cutting-edge imaging technologies in support of cancer research and showcase the specific expertise available at our 25 Nodes across Europe.

July 2: EOSC-Life - Hosting Hybrid Events:
As part of its Remote training series, EOSC-Life is organising a one-day workshop on Hosting hybrid events. The objectives of this knowledge exchange and interactive workshop is that, in the future, participants will be able to evaluate which kind of events or sessions can be organised hybrid, what resources would be needed and what would be the benefits of choosing a hybrid format over a face-to-face or a remote one.
The workshop is free of cost and will take place on the 2nd of July 2021. You can check the draft programme on the website .

Community survey

The NFDI4BIOIMAGE initiative will apply to the 3rd Call for NFDI consortia in September 2021. Their central aim to serve the research community with respect to its research data management (RDM) needs in bioimaging, including microscopy, biophotonics and bioimage informatics. Please participate in the anonymous survey to help them assess the current situation of RDM in bioimaging.
